Missouri General Election
Three certified constitutional amendments, headlined by Amendment 3, which would repeal the abortion-rights amendment voters approved in 2024. Register by Oct 7; absentee requests by mail by Oct 21. No-excuse in-person absentee voting runs Oct 20 through Nov 2.
- Amendment 3: Abortion Ban & Minor Gender-Transition ProhibitionRepeals the 2024 abortion-rights amendment, allowing most abortions to be banned (with exceptions for medical emergencies, fetal anomalies, rape and incest), and prohibits gender-transition procedures for minors.
- Amendment 7: Show-Me Prosperity FundCreates a permanent public endowment fund to support state government, bars the legislature from diverting it, and eliminates state-imposed taxes once the fund's earnings are enough to replace them.
- Amendment 8: Elected County SheriffsWrites the election of county sheriffs and their duties into the constitution, and allows a sheriff to be removed only by a writ of quo warranto brought by the Attorney General.
