Florida General Election
General election for an open Governor's race, a U.S. Senate special election to fill the appointed seat, and the Cabinet. Three legislature-referred constitutional amendments are on the ballot, and each needs 60% to pass. No citizen initiatives qualified this cycle.
- Budget Stabilization FundRaises the cap on the state's rainy-day fund from 10% to 25% of net general revenue and requires an annual transfer into it.
- Exemption of Tangible Personal Property on Agricultural Land from TaxationExempts farm equipment and similar tangible personal property kept on agricultural land from property tax.
- Save Our Homes from Excessive Property TaxesRaises the homestead exemption to $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028, cuts the non-homestead assessment cap from 10% to 5%, and restricts how local governments may spend remaining property tax revenue (HJR 1-F).
